Protein Powders have Lead??

Do you drink protein drinks??? According to this new survey, there may be lead in your favorite protein powder. Read this report.

Being that some of these products carry crap like arsenic in them, it sounds like your essentially taking the same health risk as someone who smokes cigarettes. Now isn’t that a kick in the pants? Solution, add soy yogurt that is high in protein to your smoothies/shakes as a healthier alternative OR use vegan protein powders.

Come to think of it, there are MANY ways to obtain protein without animal based products. Use things like soy milk, tofu, soy yogurt and vegan protein powders for shakes. Eat tofu, tempeh, beans, nuts/nut butters, soy cheese, and spinach. It’s a total lie that you need animal based products to get your daily protein or to be healthy. If you want to eat animal products, that is your choice. However, if you are eating animal products out of fear you will not be healthy without them, now you can rest easy.

*sigh* I sure wish Consumer Reports would give us a list of the brands they found it in. I love those vegan powders, but they are ridiculously expensive.
